XLI Club April 2026 Anzac Lunch Program
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
On Thursday April 16 this great Club will be gathering to pay Honour and Pay Tribute to every Australian who has served to protect this country and its Peoples way of life.
We are confirmed to hold our own Private Service at the Shrine of Remembrance that will be earlier this year at 10.30 am. There will be a bus service to the Shrine, leaving the steps of Angliss Restaurant, at 9.15am and planned to return by 12 noon, a $10 donation is requested if using the bus service to defray costs, on the day.
Our Special Lunch meeting will be held following the service back at Angliss Restaurant at 550 Little Lonsdale St. Melbourne, starting at 12 Noon.
We have organised the temporary closure of the street so we can hold our Service Parade and encourage every member and their guests to join in should they qualify, or they want to honour their family members who have donned the various uniforms protecting this Great Country. This includes our police members past or current.
As has been the Clubs Practice in previous years, we encourage every member to bring along friends or family members who have been part of our military services.
The Service at the Shrine and the Special Street Parade gives XLI Club members a unique opportunity to demonstrate their own Patriotic Fervour for King, Country and the XLI CLUB.
Our Guest Speaker will be Michael Pianta who manages the Coburg RSL. He will talk about his experiences serving on various overseas deployments and will add a bit of history of the Boer War.
Finally, in Today’s Environment where our very way of life, Democracy, and World Order is being challenged from “everywhere”, there has never been a time in the last 50-60 years when every one of us regardless of age and/or mobility must stand up and be counted.
We do need an early indication on those who will join us for the Shrine Service by Bus which will be leaving Angliss Restaurant sharply at 9.15am.
The dress of the day is jacket and tie, and this day includes Medals.

Furthermore, if you intend on bringing a guest(s), we need to know the name of your guest(s) and any dietary requirements. Also, if you have a preference for seating with someone, let us know. Payments of $100pp may be made via online transfer, or on entry with cash or Tap & Go.
